Two high schools and one middle school in Aurora were placed in a secure perimeter after receiving threats late Wednesday morning, according to an official with the Aurora Police Department.
The APD tweeted the threat "is not believed to be credible," but the schools -- Overland High School, Regis Jesuit High School and Prairie Middle School -- were on a secure perimeter as a precaution. The secure perimeter was lifted about an hour later after it was first reported.
Officers are continuing to investigate the alleged threats.
