Aurora boy who went missing after walking home from school found safe, police say

Editor's note on March 12 at 9:52 p.m.: The 10-year-old boy has been found safe, Aurora police say.

AURORA, Colo. – Police need your help to find a 10-year-old boy who went missing just before 3 p.m. in Aurora.

The 10-year-old decided to walk home from Yale Elementary School, according to the Aurora Police Department. Officers say he was possibly seen in the area of Mexico and Chambers.

The boy is 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, gray jeans and a tan/black jacket.

His whereabouts are currently unknown.

The Aurora Police Department asked residents around the Iliff/Chambers/Yale neighborhoods to check their doorbell cameras to see if they might have captured him.
