Six kids were taken to the hospital after complaining of respiratory issues at a city park pool in Aurora, the Aurora Fire Department confirmed to Denver7.
After the first two kids complained of breathing issues at the Del Mar Park pool, four other kids reported to have itchy skin and were also transported as a precaution, according to Lori Bridges with Aurora Fire.
The Aurora Fire Department said there was a possible pump problem. A hazmat crew was called in to test the water, but all tests came back with the water having an acceptable level of chemicals in it.
Officials with the City of Aurora told Denver7 that Aurora Fire Rescue said the medical issues were not related to pool operations.
At 1 p.m. fire officials tweeted, "All chemicals checked & are OK."
The pool reopened at around 2 p.m.
