AURORA, Colo. – Two people were killed and another suffered minor injuries after a car rolled over in Aurora Friday night.
A Chevy Tahoe was going west on East 26th Avenue near North Picadilly when, for unknown reasons, it went partially off the north side of the roadway. The driver tried to steer the Tahoe back onto the roadway but over corrected causing the Tahoe to roll approximately two times before coming to rest in the middle of East 26th Avenue.
The adult male driver and two juvenile passengers were extricated from the vehicle and all were taken to local hospitals, but the driver and one of the juveniles were later pronounced dead.
The other juvenile male had minor injuries, according to Aurora Police Sgt. Craig Baumfalk.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the cause of the crash, Baumfalk said. The Aurora Police Department Traffic Unit will continue its investigation of this crash.
