AURORA, Colo. -- Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in a deadly rollover crash that killed two men and injured a woman in Aurora early Sunday, police said.
The crash happened as the driver of a black Infinity was going east on Florida Avenue near South Dayton Street at around 2:45 a.m. He reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to end up on the sidewalk to the north of Florida Avenue after it rolled over several times.
The car then hit several trees and a light pole in the process, according to an official with the Aurora Police Department.
An adult male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the black Infinity was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition, but died shortly after 9:30 a.m., an official with Aurora police said. A female passenger was also taken to the hospital and suffered only minor injuries, the official said.
The female passenger identified the driver of the vehicle as "Phil" in a tweet. The account she linked to belongs to a professional YouTube gamer with a massive online following. The driver's identity remains unconfirmed at this point.
