DENVER (AP) -- A man who was struck by lightning at a golf course in suburban Denver has died.
Dan Pruett, the chief deputy coroner for Jefferson County, says 23-year-old Peter Hawkes spent several hours in a burn unit before he died early Wednesday morning.
The Denver Post reports Hawkes and another man were hospitalized after being struck by lightning at the Indian Tree Golf Course on Tuesday evening. The other man's name and condition have not been released.
Two other people were injured by a lightning strike at the El Paso County Fairgrounds on Tuesday evening.
