JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- A woman who was hiking in Clear Creek Canyon west of Golden was rescued by crews after falling 75 feet on Friday morning.
The woman was with others when she fell near Tunnel 2 on US 6, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, who were notified of the incident at around 10 a.m. The Golden Fire Department was heading the rescue efforts, according to the Denver Post.
The woman was conscious and breathing after the fall, Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Techmeyer told the Post.
US 6 was closed at Tunnel for about an hour.
