Estes Park is looking at new rules for short-term vacation rentals.
The town outside Rocky Mountain National Park currently allows short-term rentals, as long as occupancy is capped at eight people.
The Coloradoan reports that Larimer County officials are holding a public hearing Saturday on some proposed changes to the rules.
The changes include a tiered system for maximum rental occupancy, increasing the occupancy limit to 18 guests. Rentals for nine to 18 guests would need a conditional use permit from the town or county sheriff.
Also, people who rent out homes or cabins to vacationers would have to pay annual permit fees of $150, plus $50 per room.
The newspaper reports that no decision will be made Saturday.
