Student arrested after making threats with knife on Bennett school bus

BENNETT, Colo. -- A student was arrested in the town of Bennett on Thursday after reportedly threatening others with a knife while riding the school bus. 

"A butterfly styled knife was used during the menacing while on a Bennett 29J School District bus," Senior Deputy Michael Kaiser with the Adams County Sheriff's Office said Friday. "There were no injuries reported from anyone involved," Kaiser said. 

The juvenile was taken to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Facility and is being held on charges of Felony Menacing, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon on school grounds. 

No other information is being released at this time.
