BYERS, Colo. – Two unused outbuildings were destroyed in a brush fire in Byers early Saturday afternoon, according to officials.
A barn and a camper burned to the ground after a control burn got out of hand due to windy conditions,Byers Fire District Captain Karen Williams told Denver7.
No one was injured.
The 40-acre fire was burning near the area of CR173 near Highway 36, according to South Metro Fire Rescue officials.
South Metro’s incident team was helping the Byers Fire District battle the flames.
