Woman killed in Aurora ID'd, may have been murdered by Denver random shooting suspect

AURORA, Colo. – The Arapahoe County Coroner on Monday identified the woman killed in a shooting in Aurora Saturday.

Ashley Ross Draper, 29, died from multiple gunshot wounds after she was allegedly shot by James Draper, who was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly firing at random bystanders in Denver.

James Draper, 33, was caught after a short police chase. Police say he is believed to have been involved in up to four shootings over the past several days.

Ashley Draper died after being shot at the Americana Apartments on South Memphis Way Saturday morning.

It is unclear if the two are related.
