EL JEBEL, Colo. — A child abuse report in Eagle County led to the arrest of a woman in Bogota, Colombia, authorities announced on Wednesday.

Morgan Nicole Abrums, 23, faces charges of domestic violence harassment, a Class 3 misdemeanor, according to the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, which is still investigating the case.

A man in the El Jebel area earlier this month reported to the sheriff's office that he received "multiple forms of violent digital images showing the abuse of an infant child relative" and that Abrums sent him the images.

Investigators traced Abrums to Bogota, Colombia, and authorities there took the child into custody and sent Abrums to the U.S. on the warrant out of Eagle County. Abrums was released from a Houston jail on $50,000 bond, on the condition she turn herself into authorities in Eagle County by Jan. 4, the sheriff's office said.

Anyone with additional information about Abrums or the alleged incident is asked to call Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007 or 1-800-972-TIPS.
