CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — A New Mexico murder suspect was arrested in Castle Rock this week, authorities said Thursday.
Marina Salcido, 29, is accused in the killing of 30-year-old Saul Martinez in Espanola, N.M., on Dec. 18. Authorities there found Martinez dead of a single gunshot wound, according to New Mexico State Police. Investigators learned that Salcido was with Martinez at his home shortly before he died.
Authorities tracked Salcido to a home in Castle Rock, where she was arrested Tuesday.
She's being held on first-degree murder and tampering charges and awaiting extradition to New Mexico, officials said.
