Westminster police: Suspects involved in carjacking may have robbed bank 15 minutes later

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Two men are wanted by Westminster police for their alleged roles in a carjacking and bank robbery Thursday evening.

Around 5:20 p.m. Thursday, the Westminster Police Department received a report of a carjacking along the 3200 block of 73rd Avenue. The caller, whose car had been stolen, reported that two black males had taken his truck. He was not injured.

Around 5:35 p.m., the police department received a call concerning a bank robbery at the TCF bank on the 7200 block of Federal Boulevard. The suspects brandished weapons during the robbery, but nobody was injured.  

In a press release, the Westminster Police Department said it believes the same suspects from the carjacking also robbed the bank.

Authorities have found vehicle that was carjacked.

The police department is still investigating the incidents.
