Victim killed in Park Hill neighborhood shooting ID'd by authorities

DENVER – The victim of a deadly shooting in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood has been identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

Ivah Hamilton, 17, was shot and killed Thursday evening by an unknown suspect. Another victim who has not been identified was last listed as stable at a hospital.

Denver Police said both victims were shot near Thrill and Forest Streets at around 8:30 p.m. The victims then drove to the area of Martin Luther King Jr. and Colorado Boulevards where they got medical help.

Hamilton, the driver of the car, died later that evening and the other victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Hamilton died from multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death was homicide. 

No suspect information, as well as information that would point to a motive in the shooting, has been released by police.
