‘Unknown number of guns' stolen from Arvada gun store in smash-and-grab overnight

ARVADA, Colo. – An “unknown number of guns” were stolen early Sunday from an Arvada gun store, police say.

The thieves reportedly drove a car through the front of the armory at Westminster Arms in the area of West 68th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard at around 2 a.m. and stole “an unknown number of items,” according to Arvada Police Department spokesperson Jill McGranahan.

Officers were on scene within two minutes, but the thieves were gone by the time police arrived.

The theft is currently under investigation.
