LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Two men have been arrested after a year-long investigation to determine who was throwing rocks off a bridge over Interstate 25.

Two Loveland men, Joshua Frederick Boddy, 31, and Kraig Warren Lorenzen, 32, turned themselves in on Dec. 20 after authorities obtained criminal mischief arrest warrants for them.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office and Colorado State Patrol started receiving reports of rocks damaging vehicles as they drove under the County Road 36/Kechter Road bridge on I-25 at night, according to the sheriff's office. Seven drivers said their vehicles were struck, causing damage to the car and creating a serious risk to the people in the car. Nobody was hurt in any of the reported incidents.

The sheriff’s office and CSP conducted a lengthy joint investigation of several reports between January and July. They were able to identify two suspects.

Both men turned themselves in at the Loveland Police Department and were released that day on a $5,000 bond.
