Troopers seek hit-and-run driver who fled C-470 crash firing shots

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The Colorado State Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver who fired shots after crashing their right-hand drive vehicle on C-470 in Douglas County, the CSP announced Wednesday.

The driver of the white-colored boxy vehicle crashed into construction equipment near South Quebec Street. The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on May 3.

The driver attempted to flee the scene at which time shots were fired and the vehicle was able to escape, according to a CSP release. It’s unclear if the driver was targeting anyone.

The suspect vehicle is between the years 1990-2005 and should have minor to moderate front end damage.
