JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Three men have been arrested a week after a woman who had been fatally shot was found at the scene of a brush fire in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Abel Gallegos, 35, of Lakewood, on unrelated charges on Thursday, before he was formally charged in connection to this homicide on Friday. Rene Rosales, 35, of Lakewood was also arrested Friday and Alonso Quintana, 27, of Denver, was arrested on Saturday.

Gallegos faces charges of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, second-degree arson and tampering with evidence.

Quintana was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, aggravated intimidation of a witness and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

Rosales is facing charges of accessory to first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, second-degree arson and tampering with evidence.

The charges allege that the three men were involved in the murder of Cymone Duran, 28. Duran’s body was discovered on Nov. 5 around 1:30 a.m. after firefighters with the Pleasant View Fire Department responded to a brush fire at the intersection of Nile Street and W. 7th Avenue. Authorities said her death did not appear accidental and started to investigate. They later determined she had been shot multiple times before she was set on fire, and that she had died from the gunshots. She was identified as the victim on Wednesday.

Anyone with information about this homicide is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office tip line at 303-271-5612 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
