DENVER – A teenager was killed in a shooting in southwest Denver on Wednesday evening, police said.
The shooting happened about 5:15 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Mexico Avenue, according to a police news release. The victim, a 17-year-old male, was dropped off at an urgent care facility on South Federal Boulevard — about a mile from the shooting — and then taken to a hospital, where he died.
Detectives on Thursday were working to identify and find the people who dropped the victim off at the urgent care, and identify their vehicle. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
