Teen robbed on his way home from Colorado Springs school, suspects at-large

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Two teenagers accused of assaulting and robbing another teen in Colorado Springs Wednesday evening remain at-large, according to police.

A 16-year-old male told police he was coming home after playing basketball at Freemont Elementary School when two other boys approached him, punched him in the face, took his hat, his cell phone and possibly his basketball before leaving the scene, a Colorado Springs Police Department official said.

The victim was injured but did not require any sort of treatment.

The suspects were described as two African-American teens, both measuring 5-foot-9 with thin builds.

The investigation is ongoing.
