ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – A man is on the run after threatening two people in Englewood before setting a garage on fire on Friday, according to the Englewood Police Department.

The man reportedly went into a home in the area of S. Fox St. and W. Bates Avenue at around 10 a.m. and threatened a man with a knife.

Police said the residents inside of that home fled and called 911.

As police arrived to respond to the call, they noticed smoke coming from a garage to the west of the home and called the Englewood Fire Department to come and assist with putting out the blaze.

Moments later, according to police, the suspect got into a confrontation with a different man at The Foundry Apartments, just two blocks away from the first incident. In this encounter, the suspect also threatened the man with a knife.

The suspect left the area and hasn’t been seen since, police said.

He is described as a white male in his 20s, measuring 5-foot-5 and wearing a black shirt and camo pants.

There were no injuries reported following both incidents. The garage that caught on fire was unoccupied.
