DENVER – Police announced Monday that the suspect in the deadly shooting of a security guard in LoDo in late September was arrested on an unrelated warrant last Wednesday in Louisiana.

Denver police said Harrison Hall, 32, is being investigated for first-degree murder in the Sept. 28 shooting death of 28-year-old Luke Kroener, who died after the shooting near the intersection of 14th Ave. and Market Street.

According to Denver police, Hall shot and killed Kroener after Kroener confronted him about a different possible shooting nearby.

Police said Monday that Hall was arrested on Dec. 12 and remains in custody in Louisiana. The affidavit in the shooting is sealed by a judge, police said. Officers are not releasing Hall’s mug shot pending further photo lineups and investigation, Denver police said.

Kroener’s sister said he leaves behind a young daughter and girlfriend. The sister, Liz Rado, shared the following statement with Denver7 in September:

“Luke was an amazing father always playing with his baby girl. He would dance with her in the middle of the street, he would watch My Little Pony with her for hours with her. They loved pizza. They could eat pizza all day long. Emma was his life, he would do anything for her. He would give the world for her. That was her daddy, her daddy Luke. He was getting ready to start in the police academy and worked hard to give the world for his daughter, now she is going to grow up without her daddy. He will miss seeing her grow and Esmeralda is left without a partner in life. My mother is left without a son, we are left without a brother, an uncle, a nephew and we will miss Luke for the rest of our lives.”

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
