KIOWA COUNTY, Colo. — Two Kiowa County Sheriff's Office deputies were involved in a shooting Thursday, and one suspect was fatally shot, authorities said.
The deputies had responded to a traffic stop about 3 p.m. At some point, the deputies deployed a taser before firing their shots, according to a news release from the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The news release did not say where in Kiowa County the incident happened.
The deputies were not injured. More information about the shooting was not released. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation was investigating the shooting.
