ARVADA, Colo. — A staple of the Arvada community, Arvada Rent-Alls, was robbed over the weekend. Surveillance video shows a glimpse of the person responsible.
"You see this guy coming to this frame and it’s like, this is clearly a guy up to no good," said Arvada Rent-Alls owner Andrew Heesacker.
As Heesacker's employees were starting their shift, they noticed something was wrong.
"When the guys got here early in the morning, they noticed the lock was cut," Heesacker recalled.
Heesacker said about a dozen tools were stolen, mostly lawn and garden equipment worth about $8,000.
"Essentially that’s revenue walking right out the door because that’s items we rent to customers and now we don’t have them to use. It really makes things difficult into the future," Heesacker tells Denver7.
The timing couldn't be worse for the business.
"Everyone is doing fall cleanup in their houses right now," Heesacker explains, "now taking those items out of our rental inventory, it’s going to be tough."
Denver7 has requested the police report from the Arvada Police Department.
