CRAIG, Colo. -- A male student was detained Thursday in connection with an alleged planned shooting at Moffat County High School in Western Colorado, Craig Police Sgt. Corey Wagner said.
“We received information about a possible shooting at the school,” Wagner said, adding that the student, who is about 15, was being held on Thursday night.
“There was another male student who was implicated but he is out of state right now,” Wagner said.
Wagner said he did not know how police uncovered the alleged plot.
The alleged plot was set to take place Friday, April 20, on the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre, the Steamboat Pilot & Today reported.
About 530 students attend the school in Craig.
