JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- The sketch of a man who authorities said tried to kidnap a 14-year-old girl over the weekend has been released.
The kidnapping attempt happened on Friday in the area of Sheridan Boulevard and West 52nd Avenue, according to a Jefferson County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
The 14-year-old reported the suspect followed her in a silver SUV as she walked to her school bus stop on her way to school.
The suspect then reportedly stopped his vehicle, got out and told her to get inside. When she did not, he tried to push her inside the vehicle. The teen was able to run away and the school bus driver reported the incident, deputies said.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, measuring 5-feet-3 tall, with glasses and medium length dark hair, kind of spiky on top and tousled. He was last seen wearing a gray short-sleeved T-shirt and gray jeans.
