UPDATE | July 13 at 3:15 p.m. — The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that three adults were arrested in connection with this incident. One adult was issued a criminal summons. One juvenile was detained and later released, pending further investigation.
Charges included menacing and weapon-related offenses. Additional charges are possible.
A K-9 team with the sheriff's office helped deputies locate a firearm they believe was involved.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Six people have been detained after law enforcement responded to a report of multiple shots fired at Cherry Creek State Park's swim beach on Sunday.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), as well as the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, responded to the scene. No injuries have been reported, CPW said.

CPW said the call came in around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Part of the swim beach was closed during the investigation while authorities collected evidence.
The sheriff's office is leading this investigation, CPW said.

No other details were released Sunday evening.
The state park's swim beach is a popular place to visit during Colorado's warm months. The park reached about 95 degrees on Sunday afternoon.
