LITTLETON, Colo. — Authorities identified Wednesday a man they believe pulled a woman out of her van while at a car wash, bit her and then stole the vehicle.

Police are looking for Phillip Michael Dent, 51, in the Littleton carjacking last week.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the Atlantis Car Wash at 5474 S. Federal Circle in Littleton. The victim, a. 63-year-old woman, said she drove into the automatic car wash bay and placed her van in park, which automatically unlocked all of the doors.

As soon as the car wash began and the victim's windshield was obscured, Dent allegedly walked up to the driver's door. He opened it, grabbed the victim's arm and yelled for her to get of the van.

The victim tried to resist and fight off Dent, but he ultimately grabbed her by the neck, bit her and forcibly threw her to the ground. He then took off in the van.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Dent whom police say is a transient and may be in Lakewood or Littleton.

Anyone who has information on the case is asked to call Littleton Police Detective Shiller at (303) 795-3882. If anyone sees the van, call 911 immediately.
