DENVER – A cyclist is dead after being involved in a crash with a vehicle in southern Denver Wednesday.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of S. Santa Fe Drive and W. Evans Ave., according to a tweet from Denver police, and shut down westbound Evans.
Police originally said the cyclist suffered serious injuries but said in a tweet just before 2 p.m. that the cyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. They have not released more information.
DPD said the investigation into the crash was ongoing.
