PARKER, Colo. – Police are investigating a road rage shooting that happened on Parker Road near E-470 Tuesday evening which left one man with injuries.

The shooting happened sometime around 6:30 p.m., and the man who was shot drove himself to Parker Adventist Hospital, a hospital spokesperson told Denver7.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Parker police tweeted a description of the suspect's vehicle: a dark-gray or black extended cab pickup truck with dark tinted windows. They said the suspect was described as a white male, and said several shots were fired from the truck's passenger side.

The hospital was for about 30 minutes on a “code silver,” meaning no one was allowed into or out of the hospital, out of an abundance of caution because it wasn't sure if the suspect followed the victim. That code was lifted by 7:15 p.m.

This is a developing news story and will be updated with the latest information.
