ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Police shot and killed a man Monday after he allegedly struck three officers with a vehicle in Englewood, officials said.

The incident unfolded shortly after 10 a.m. in the 1400 block of East Girard Place, where officers found two people sitting in a stolen vehicle.

When the officers tried to contact the people, the driver, a 22-year-old man, struck and drug three officers, police said. Police then shot the man, who was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The officers were also taken to a hospital, and police said their injuries were not critical.

A female passenger in the involved vehicle was taken into custody.

The Arapahoe County Coroner's Office on Wednesday identified the man killed as Caleb Grisenti and his manner of death is homicide.

The 18th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team will investigate the officers' use of force.

Police said bodycam footage of the shooting won't be released until all officers have been interviewed in the investigation.

On Wednesday morning, police said all involved officers had been released from the hospital.
