LITTLETON, Colo. — A Littleton school that helps kids who have been through trauma and abuse was hit hard when thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of outdoor equipment and supplies.
More than $4,000 worth of fishing and camping gear was stolen sometime this week from a secured shed at the Shiloh Academy School.
The equipment was stolen amid a remodel project at the school located at 6400 West Coal Mine Avenue. Police are investigating.
The gear, including poles, boots and tents, is meant for the school’s summer outdoor program, which is set to begin in May.
On Thursday, school officials took to Facebook for help from the community. Donations can be made online at shilohhouse.org/donate.
