BEDFORD, Texas -- Denver Police Homicide detectives are in Texas after local police arrested Brent M. Kelley, 27, who is wanted in the October 2016 murder of 23-year-old Quinasia Russell.
Kelley was arrested Thursday, Bedford police confirmed with Denver7 Investigates. He is being held on a homicide charge from Denver.
Shortly after the killing on Oct. 15, an arrest warrant was issued for Kelley.
Russell was found dead of a gunshot at the Airway Motel on East Colfax Avenue at Verbena Street, which is west of Yosemite Street.
Kelley is expected to be extradited to Colorado.
