Man fatally wounded in triple shooting near Civic Center Park identified; suspect still at-large

DENVER – A man who died at a hospital following a triple shooting near Civic Center Park on Thursday has been identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

Tonio Stallworth, 32, was taken to Denver Health following the shooting near the intersection of 14th Avenue and Broadway. He was pronounced dead not long after.

Stallworth’s cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Two other men were also injured in the shooting. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The shooting happened near a growing homeless encampment located across from the Colorado State Capitol.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a suspect in the shooting had not been identified by Denver police.
