Man arrested in Colorado Springs for reportedly making threats to blow up government buildings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man was arrested on Thursday in Colorado Springs for reportedly making threats to use explosives to blow up government buildings.

According to police, the Colorado Springs Police Department - Gold Hill Division was notified by Metro VNI and the FBI JTTF Colorado Springs that a man named Shawn Wallace was on his way to the substation and claimed to have explosives in his truck.

Surveillance cameras spotted his truck, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted. Wallace was arrested without incident.

Authorities searched his truck and no explosives were found.

Wallace was also wanted out of Virginia on a warrant for obscene communication.
