BOULDER, Colo. — A man accused of threatening a person with an axe was arrested by police in Boulder Thursday evening.
Around 8:50 p.m., officers with the Boulder Police Department responded to a report of a man who was threatening a person with an axe near the King Soopers at 1650 30th Street, according to Boulder police.
Multiple officers responded to the scene and found the person that the suspect had targeted. The person was not injured and provided a description of the man.
Around 9:05 p.m., officers located the suspect near an abandoned building on the east side of the grocery store. Officers found an axe near the suspect. He was arrested on a felony menacing charge and was transported to the Boulder County Jail, police said.
The suspect’s name and mug shot had not been released as of 7:38 a.m. Friday.
