LONGMONT, Colo. – Authorities are looking for a Longmont man who went missing Friday without his medication, and was last seen in south-central New Mexico.
Richard “Rick” Rue, 26, was reported missing Sunday after having been missing since Friday.
Police say that he has a medical condition that requires medication, which he has now gone without for nearly three days.
Rue’s family says it doesn’t know why he left Colorado or where he may be going, and that his behavior is “unusual.”
Authorities believe Rue is driving a 1994 Ford Ranger with Colorado license plates 835-XMF. He is a white male described as 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
His family says he often wears wide-brimmed hats.
He was last seen at a convenience store in Williamsburg, New Mexico—near Truth or Consequences on I-25 between Albuquerque and Las Cruces.
New Mexico State Police said Monday that no agencies had made contact with Rue as of 3:30 p.m., but said state and local officers were aware Rue was missing and last seen in New Mexico.
Anyone who sees Rue or knows where he is, is asked to call their local law enforcement agency or the Longmont Police Department at 303-651-8555.
