ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. -- A homeowner said he was left with bruises and scrapes after an appliance repairman assaulted him.
He is still in disbelief over the incident that happened on Saturday. He said a Sears contractor was supposed to repair his washing machine, but things went south when the man could not fix it.
The homeowner said the repairman attacked him with his fists, and that he believes the man intentionally hit him with his van while trying to leave. Concerned neighbors witnessed the altercation that spilled out onto the driveway and called 911.
After the alleged assault, he is still left with a broken washing machine but wants to prevent other customers from being "terrorized," as he put it.
The homeowner said the call started out normally. The repairman arrived at his home and started to take the machine apart. About 30 minutes later, the man informed the homeowners that he had ordered the wrong part. When the homeowner asked him to put the machine back together, he said that's when the man started cursing and became irate.
With the washing machine torn apart, the repairman walked out of the home. The homeowner said he followed him out to the driveway where the man dropped his tool and said, "You wanna fight?" He said that's when the man began punching him.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Flint Vangeison was arrested for investigation on third-degree assault and criminal mischief charges. He has yet to be formally charged and has hired a lawyer, he told Denver7.
