GREELEY, Colo. – An alleged Weld County gang member will face murder charges in the shooting death of another man in July.
A Weld County judge found enough probable cause to charge Marcello Rodriguez, 19, with murder in the death of 26-year-old Paul Ortiz.
Rodriguez allegedly shot Ortiz seven times after Ortiz knocked on the door of an apartment in the 900 block of C Street early on July 16.
Rodriguez remains jailed on a $1 million bond at the Weld County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 4.
