NEDERLAND, Colo. – Deputies with the Boulder County Sheriff’s have identified the parents of a 3-year-old girl after she was found wandering the streets near the Town of Nederland all alone Friday afternoon.
The girl reportedly wandered up to a house in the 1900 block of Cold Springs Road outside Nederland at around 1 p.m.
Deputies said she appeared to be in good health, adding they didn’t believe the girl experienced any trauma.
The girl wasn't communicating with officers, so authorities didn’t know a lot about who her parents were or how she ended up wandering the streets by herself.
Deputies said just after 4:15 p.m. that the child had been identified by members of the community and that they had made contact with her family.
Thanks to help from members of the public, this child had been identified and we have been in contact with her family.
