GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – A 14-year-old girl faces charges in the Feb. 13 death of a 61-year-old woman in Mesa County.
Stephanie Hauck, 14, faces manslaughter and second-degree assault with a deadly weapon causing injury charges – both class 4 felonies.
She is accused of being involved in the Feb. 13 death of Linda Smith, 61, who was found dead Monday just after 2 p.m. in the 500 block of 29 ½ Road in Mesa County.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office says Smith’s cause and manner of death remain under investigation and that all documents in the case have been sealed.
Thus, no further information about the death or Hauck’s arrest are available at this time.
