Former Colorado Springs teacher, cheer coach charged with sexual assault on child

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A former paraprofessional educator, cheer coach and security guard at several schools in Colorado Springs and the Denver Metro area has been charged with sexual assault on a child.

On Monday, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were provided with information indicating that Keean Davis, 30, of Colorado Springs, had possibly given narcotics to a juvenile and sexually assaulted him or her.

Detectives with the police department's Crimes Against Children Unit obtained a warrant for his arrest on Tuesday and located him later that day. He was charged with sexual assault on a child from a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Davis was previously employed as a paraprofessional educator, cheer coach and security guard at several schools in Colorado Springs and the Denver Metro area. 

Detectives have continued their investigation and found information indicating there may be additional victims.

Colorado Springs police are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying any youth who may have had sexual contact with Davis. Anyone with information is asked to contact 719-444-7000.
