BOULDER, Colo. -- A fight inside a bar in Boulder left one person injured after it escalated into a shooting overnight.
Boulder police were called to Owsley's Golden Road in the area of Pleasant Street and South Broadway on reports of a shooting at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect reportedly fired several shots and hit the victim in the calf after a fight that erupted inside the bar spilled out into the parking lot.
"At this time, it is not known if the man was the intended target," said a spokesperson for the Boulder Police Department.
The suspect is described as a black male with short hair, measuring 5-foot-9 tall and weighing 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black crew neck shirt and blue jeans.
The victim was taken to Boulder Community Health where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The victim is not a CU student, the police department spokesperson said.
