RIFLE, Colo. – Dozens of car windows were shot out early Tuesday morning in a vandalism spree across Rifle, the police department reports.
The department wrote on Facebookthat it had received “multiple reports” of broken windows on cars, though Vail Daily reports that 34 cars, three businesses and one home were hit by the vandals.
Rifle Police Chief Tommy Klein told the paper that the vandals used a BB gun or pellet gun in the vandalism spree and that the department doesn’t believe anyone was targeted specifically.
A similar instance of vandalism happened in nearby Silt the same night, and both departments are working together to investigate, Vail Daily reports.
Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call the Rifle Police Department at 970-625-8095.
