DENVER – A deputy with the Denver Sheriff’s Department faces felony menacing charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at someone serving him legal documents last week.
Bret Martin Carbone, 46, was advised of his formal charge on felony menacing with a weapon last Thursday in Adams County Court.
According to 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young, Carbone pointed a gun at the person serving him documents at his home in Commerce City on Nov. 6.
Carbone is set for a disposition hearing Dec. 19. Court records show he had a distraint warrant filed against him earlier this year for money he owed to the Department of Revenue.
