Denver police seek man they say tried to kidnap juvenile on 16th Street Mall

DENVER — Police in Denver are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they say tried to kidnap a juvenile on the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.

According to a crime alert issued Wednesday by Denver Crime Stoppers, the man attempted to abduct the juvenile from the Denver Pavilions on the mall around 11:20 a.m. Saturday. Details of the case are not known.

The suspect is described as a medium-build Hispanic man between the ages of 30-49. He is 5’6” tall with black hair. A photo showing the suspect riding an escalator was included in Wednesday’s release.
