Denver police seek help in identifying Berkeley Park attempted sex assault suspect

DENVER – Police are looking for help identifying a man accused of attempted sex assault in Berkeley Park last Wednesday morning.

The Denver Police Department and Crime Stoppers put out a bulletin for the suspect on Monday morning.

Police say the unidentified man tried to sexually assault a person around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12 in the Berkeley Park area of northwest Denver.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s, who is around 5-foot-10 with medium build, medium-length brown hair, brown eyes and a trimmed goatee, police said. He was last seen wearing an oversized white or gray long-sleeved shirt, white or gray basketball shorts and basketball sneakers.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters are eligible for a reward if the suspect is captured and brought to justice.
