Denver police looking for men accused of robbing liquor store with handgun

DENVER – Police are looking for help identifying two men who robbed an East Colfax liquor store while armed on Nov. 17.

The armed robbery happened just before 10:30 p.m. at John’s Liquor, located at 1816 E. Colfax Avenue.

The Denver Police Department says the men were armed with handguns and demanded money from the store clerk.

Both suspects are described as black men between the ages of 20 and 30. The first man was approximately 5-foot-9 with a medium build, and was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, white gloves and white sneakers at the time

The second suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, white gloves and black sneakers at the time.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is looking for tips that lead to the men’s arrests. People can submit tips to 720-913-7867, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
