DENVER — A Denver woman was arrested following the death of her 7-month-old child, according to a release from the Denver Police Department.
The child’s mother, Cintrease Dailey, 21, was booked Tuesday morning on investigation of child abuse resulting in death.
Dailey and another family member brought the boy to the emergency room at Rose Medical Center around 3:45 a.m.
The child was not breathing upon arrival at the hospital and attempts to resuscitate him in the emergency room were unsuccessful, the release read. He was ultimately pronounced deceased.
Police were called to the hospital after the death due to suspected trauma to the child, according to police. As a result of the investigation, Dailey was placed under arrest.
